The leaf turtle is adorable!! My other two favorites would be the viper and copperhead!

Great pictures! The Diamondback is lovely, and yes Copperheads are gorgeous. I've managed to see a few in the wild, they are all over the campgrounds near us. (And the 'myth' about 'if you smell cucumber - back away because you are real close to a Copperhead' is true! - at least in my area).

    Thanks for sharing!

Cucumbers? odd... I didn't think they had much of a smell to them. Cucumbers anyways. I can't speak for the copperheads. I don't work with them.

I never thought so either (about cucumbers having a smell) -- but right before I encountered a Copperhead at camp I got this strong odor, and the first thing I thought was, "wow, that smells like cucumber". Then I remembered what I thought was just a 'myth' and stopped in the path, and sure enough a Copperhead was tucked in a pile of leaves right in front of me looking none too happy! (We both went another route).

Gorgeous pics! The nature preserve I used to work at used to have a Copperhead that they rescued and rehabed from the wild. I used to feed him, he was awesome.

apparently, there are different regional morphs of copperheads. I'm not sure which one that is.
