    most darts are not toxic at all in captivity.

    Fruit fly cultures are typically flightless, but enough people are doing it, that you should be able to find cultures at a good exotics shop, or expo.

    The wood is pretty moldy. Will the springtails be able to handle all of it?

    Yup! Also what I've found, the mold will go away by itself in like a week :)

    Another Update: I took apart the planted one for a couple of reasons. When their reproduction takes off, it would impossible to catch a bajillion babies if I need to take them out for something. Also, I could never get rid of unwanted pests that hitched a ride with the plants. I gassed it with 2 lbs of dry ice and yet they lived on. :mad:

    It's basically back to how I started lol. I'm going to try to get more wood though since it looks kind of empty. IMG_8398.JPG IMG_8397.JPG
