Does anyone know what Red-Eared Sliders eat in the wild? I live in their natural range and want to grow some of the plants for Dana to eat (but not in his tank of course). Or, does anyone know who I can contact to find the info? I've googled it and all I can find are "captive" diets in caresheets.

I am sorry, it seems like nobody knows. Maybe you will have to play spy to find out.:(;)

All I find is various species of aquatic plants.
Contact your local wildlife department and ask to speak to a naturalist. Maybe they can help.

I found a list. after I upgrade my turtletank, I think I'm gonna turn the 55g he's in into a planted aquarium. I'm gonna plant what he would eat in the wild and have some minnows live (and breed) in it. He'll have his very own "farm". :D

They just mostly eat plants in the water they live in and fish and bugs that are around the area they live in.
