Hello all, I live in central NC, Raleigh to be exact. Today at my job I found this little guy walking across the floor of my office(most of the building is warehouse). I am pretty sure it is some type of gecko since I owned several types as a kid, just don't know what kind. I am very familiar with the common anole or skinks that are native here and thier are no known species of gecko that live in NC. Please I.D. if possible, he is about an inch long. There is a very large lake right next to the building if that helps any! Thanks in advance

Looks like a Mediterranean house gecko. An imported species.

And just a guess, but did your office get any new potted plants recently? A lot of times such animals show up as hitchhikers this way.

No new plants or furniture! I'm assuming their must be more since he was very small.

House geckos have become established in many parts of the US! They are pretty adaptable little critters.
