    Hey.
My water dragon Zeus is currently on a diet of crickets, mealworms, red wrigglers, and feeder fish. Calcium dusted every other day, vitamin once a week.He doesn't eat fruit.

I have a question regarding how big can they get till they are able to consume pinkies. Zeus is a foot long exact.

Hi, when they can swallow them relatively easily (I know that sounds obvious, but it the answer)! ;) You could always cut one in half (while it`s still frozen, then defrost).

    That's an idea.

A recommendation I've heard from a water dragon breeder is to feed pinkies that are approximately the length of the dragon's head or shorter to prevent the risk of choking. While I don't know the validity of that statement, I have applied it to myself when it comes to feeding my dragon and I'm comfortable with that 'rule'. I wouldn't want to feed anything bigger as I think it would be a struggle for her.
