This Disappears When Logged In

What Kind of Snake is this? North Central Florida

    This little guy was in our garage today and our great dane was poking at him. He was just a small snake about 8-10" long but was very aggressive and biting at everything. Released him out in the woods.

    Just hope he did not bite our dog.

    Looks like a harmless Gopher Snake. Definitely non-venomous though so the dog is fine.

    If you pick it up and get bit about 1000 times in a second... I'd go with coach whip as well but not 100% on eastern species

    I agree with the above, looks like a baby coachwhip.

    Definitely a coachwhip or racer. Harmless to you and your dog.

    This is actually not a terrible way to figure out whether or not this snake is of the Masticophis/Coluber persuasion.;)
