    Well, Gatorin'
Not very awesome quality, but they get the point across.
Just wanted to show Mongoose and Rachel SS that noon isn't a very fun time to go.

I didn't realize how bad of a drought we were having (dispite the state being on fire) until I hit Paynes Prairie a few days ago. This water is normally waste deep and havent seen it much lower since Ive been coming to it.

i'm not sure if it's much of a secret but crocodilians are my favorite animals so I'm happy to see pretty much nothing but.

    Our first animal.

This is the first time she's ever been herping. (She's at a safe distance)

The critters she was normally excited about.
Wild horses: Decendants from Hacienda de La Chua in 1637.

Here is a critter from a small puddle you have to climb through vegetation to find. I found it because I heard them crying a few days before.

    A ..gaggle.. of gators

Found this guy on the trail.

Some randoms, and pics to show how low and populated this area is.

And because turtles are cool, heres a yellowbelly trying to find deep water.

And a couple of chickens that frequented the area.

Oh wow, that would be VERY cool to see wild gators. The closest I get in CO is the Gator Farm down in Mosca. :( Thanks for sharing the pics!! I love the "A ..gaggle.. of gators" photo..... that's a dense population, there!
