Water Snake Pics

    I'm pretty sure this is a type of water snake and thought I would let all of you give me a second opinion about it. He is a tiny little guy and I thought it was a cotton mouth at first. The tip of the tail wasn't yellow though and his face markings looked different. Thanks for looking and if you can tell me what type of snake it is i would appreciate it.

    Well, I am 100% sure that the snake is some species of water snake. The scales from the vent down are doubled instead of single scales. What an awesome find. Not that it wasn't before.

    Looks like a juvenile banded watersnake.

    Yeah, I decided on that or a northern. Thanks for the help.

    I would definately agree with a water snake. I would have to say this fellow is of the Banded type. A Bandeds markings are typicaly more uniform than a Northerns and this little guy seems pretty uniform in its markings.
