Hey guys. Got an umbrella plant for my Cham. I am re-fertilizing it in the morning and gonna let it grow for about a week before putting it in his cage. I plan on putting a layer of coco fiber on the top of the soil so Leo can't get to the soil. I got all natural but still dont want him digging around in there... The pot I got for it has the bottom part that you put water in so it kind of waters itself.

Question... the leaves feel quite rubbery, wont they cause impaction if the cham were to bite off a leaf? This was on my safe plant list but they just dont seem very digestible.

Instead of coco fiber, get river rocks to cover the top of the soil. They are much harder to shift around, and thus harder to dig up. Make sure they are large enough they can't be eaten accidentally.
