    My boyfriend wants a Figure 8 Puffer, but it's a freshwater tank, and the puffer I read is Brackish...v.v-

    far right, ZooMed TC-20 filter, section of driftwood, fake plants, gravel and 3 tiny plants.

    Side view, found out plants are Not True Aquatic plants, so I carefully put them back into their tube and will be returning them tomorrow. Petco really sucks on many levels, it's sad...

    Adding aquarium salt to the right volume will create brackish. Brackish is not fresh and not saltwater, typically estuaries are brackish.

    Seeing as how you already have fish, I guess it's a moot point ;)

    A 'moot point' means that it is of no purpose since the decision is already made.
    And yes goldfish can use a bit of salt.
    But not to the point of being brackish.

    you calling it moot point because of the puffer? I was just saying that's what he wants. it's not what I would have in there though

    yea, because you can't put the green puffers with goldfish.

    also, gold fish need 20 gals for the first fish and 10 for every other goldfish after that

    Proper salt Levels (for freshwater) is great for Gold's slime coats in particular.

    I hope you don't want to keep that design in the rocks. it looks neat, but it won't work to clean, the cyphen will mess it up :(.

    Do you have a filter bubble maker in there?

    yea, I will try not to mess it up...
    I have an 18in bubble wand along the back behind the driftwood. the air pump is for deep 60gal.
    'filter bubble maker'?
    I have 2 filters right now;
    50gal aquaclear and a 70gal marine emperor filter
