How do I treat a large stick? Like 7ft long and 4in thick. Can't cook it.. Can't put it in the tub...

    What do I do?

I've moved this under the Herp Habitat canopy so that you'll get more responses.

What I would do is mix up a 10:1 water:bleach solution and spray the piece heavily. Rinse thoroughly, and let dry in the sun.

Ok so I don't need to soak it then...

Nope all the nasties will be on the outside.
What I did with mine was to haul it into the bathtub, get in and scrubbed it down with a brush.
This activity provided my family with agreat deal of amusement!

What was the solution that you scrubbed it down in .. a 10:1 water:bleach or?

I started with good old hot soapy water and then used a mister bottle with 1 part bleach to 10 parts water to spray it down. You really don't want to stand in bleach water for any length of time.
REALLY screws up a good tan!
