This Disappears When Logged In

Too Many Plugs?

    Human heat pad > Thermostat (ie Repti Temp 500) > Timer (ie Digital Power Center) > Wall

    Do you think the above would create a fire hazard?

    The only thing that is really going to draw any power is the heat pad. The power use by the thermostat and timer are minimal.

    And make sure your heating pad is not one with the auto shut off feature. Thats the only ones I seem to see anymore.

    If your stuff is plugged into a "surge protector" type power cord, it SHOULD be okay. You should see some of the things I have plugged into mine. I always check it several times throughout the day though, if I ever feel it getting hot, it will get unplugged. So far, for the past 4 years, all has been well.

    Yeah, I've been searching for those. Hopefully I could find some.

    That's good to hear David. I am a bit paranoid when it comes to house fires.
