    I have been keeping my three toed male box turtle and my Florida box turtle together in the same cage for about a year. I went down today and checked on them and found them stuck together, breeding.
    I was unable to get pics.

    I have a lot of questions about this. And I can't seem to find out anything on my own.

    -Is it possible to get hybrid babies?
    -will they have any health issues? (if so, I just won't incubate the eggs)
    -How long is the period between mating and laying the eggs?
    ~~~Does this period change because the parents are too different kinds?
    -what is the temps I should incubate at? (never had turtle eggs before.)
    Thank you very much for any help and advice you can give!
    I only found instances where Three Toed Box Turtles and Eastern Box Turtles cross bred. I'm not sure about them breeding with FL Box Turtles but just in case the eggs are viable here is a guide on incubating the eggs:
    Both are sub species of the common box turtle, Terrapene Carolina. As such they can easily hybridize.
