So it's been awhile since I've been on here, 2 years in fact. But about 2 years ago Thor had complications during her first breeding season while she was gravid. She had become egg-bound and was laying broken eggs. The vet and I decided since we were removing the eggs, that we would go ahead and spay her to prevent further complications. At that time she was around 3-4lbs and they ended up removing 27 eggs! Here are a few pictures of her eggs and ovaries after being removed and of her post surgery. She will be 4 years old this year and is weighing in at about 12lbs and a little over 5 feet long.
