Superworms As a Staple

    Sad. My dragon loves worms (It's all she's eating currently, she's refusing crickets lately. I gotta look into mealworms or phoenix worms or something.) She is packing on the weight though, after getting de-wormed.

    I'm in Chicago and naturally just assumed no fishing in the lovely winter months. Fortunately, I can keep the worm farm in my three season room (ironic because in Chicago it's more like a one-season room). :D

    No ice fishing? then again, they prefer minnows for that don't they?

    I would still think bait shops had them.

    superworms are a bad staple becase they will make the dragon fat and will ultimately cause liver failure-only if given as a staple

    I did consult my vet about that and he said that giving superworms is not a problem. If you want to avoid your dragon to become fat then you simply need to give them the smaller superworms, they have a lower fat content and are higher in nutrition.
