A few months with the right conditions, there is a caresheet on them in the caresheet section!
thanks again!!! you guys are the bomb
Once they get breeding for you, you will be up to your eyebrows in cheap food.
Dubia kick out some serious babies fast (once the females mature)
One thing I learned the hard way, take that fruit out before it molds. I left a banana in for about 3 days once, and it got moldy, the mold spores nearly wiped out the colony.
Okay! Thanka Wayne... I just want free food
Picking up my dubias today! Yay!
building a enclosure today or tomorrow!!! yay
Make your dubia bin big!
I have a 35 gallon sterilite bin, and I could use another one
Yeah the plastic tubs are the way to go. Inexpensive and light weight to carry.
You will be surprised how heavy the tubs get when your colony gets to rolling.
But get the ones that are slick inside. Some of the rubbermaids have a texture to them and I could see the roaches being able to climb it.
And don't get the clear ones as the roaches like darkness
I found that the sterilite ones are real slick on the inside, smoother the better!
It is amazing just how heavy an egg flat is that is full of dubias, and they are strong little buggers, I've noticed things moved around, do them party at night or what!
I think so. I don't hear much out of them during the day but my wife is on the computer in the critter room in the evening and she swears that they are making all sorts of noise.
But then again they seriously freak her out.
Haha, as long as they don't get a taste for human blood..... And become diabolical
I just cooked this food i got at the reptile shop and it smells pretty good lol those are some lucky roaches i have
Huh? Cooked what food?
Its some kind of bug food that u add water and do a qwik heat up and let it cool and u have food for them.
What are the ingredients?
I have never seen any sort of roach chow that you had to cook. In fact you don't even need to buy a commercial food. The darn things eat just about anything. My staple diet is bran and cheap catfood with fruits and veggies thrown in.
I've heard of hornworm and silkworm chow, but never roach chow!
ill look at the name of it when i get back home
Here it is
I didn't know that Repashy made a feeder food!
I checked out the site;
Repashy Superfoods :: RETAIL :: BUG BURGER - Repashy Ventures - Distributor Center
Yea the lady at the shop told me the dubias like it. Also said its food and water in one
Separate names with a comma.
