I want to make my own roach chow. I picked up a few things at the store. What's good and what isnt?
Texturized vegetable protein non gmo granular
    Whey protein powder
    Organic oat bran
    Organic rolled oats
    Powdered milk
    Instant oat (oatmeal)
    Another powdered vegetable mix

    I also plan to get:
    Bee pollen
    Fish flakes
    Some kind if iguana food

I have wheat chex & corn chex
    Corn meal
    Flukers Tortoise pellets
    Brown sugar

What out of this is good or bad to use?
What are the percentages of calcium and protein etc to use?

Don't use the powdered milk. It's a misconception that it's a good calcium addition to a roach chow and if you got it for any reason other than that, it's still no good.

Ya, Id skip the powdered milk and the fish food as well. Fish flake is fairly high in phosphorous and has a poor Ca:p ratio as a result. Ditch the sugar, not needed. Id use just one type of oats, no need to go overboard on them. Bee pollen, whatever. Its expensive and who knows if it has any real positive effect for a reptile. (Its not bad or anything, as it has a lot of good B and C vitamins and some minerals, but youve got the vitamin powder already so Id say it isnt worth the price.) Add some alfalfa to the mix to increase your calcium amounts and grind it all up nice and fine so they can pick and choose what they like.
