This started out with the intention of making a little 10 gallon firebelly toad tank, but I opted to make a little slice of brackish mangrove swamp for a pair of Red Claw crabs.

I wanted to see if I could make a nice looking little tank on the cheap. This is a basic walmart tank/lid,a tetra corner filter cleans the water and powers the waterfall and the landscaping is all cut insulation foam coated with concrete colored with arcylic craft paint.

It has held up well for about 6 months (aside from a spot or two where the crabs decided to take a bite out of the landscaping) and is easy to take care of.

Thank you. For a quicky/cheapy off the cuff project I am happy with it. And male crab "Fred" in the picture is entertaining..he takes his territory seriously and will occasionally charge the front of the tank with claws flailing to scare me away .
