I have heard a lot of plants have pesticides and such on them and was wondering if this can hurt reptiles(any) and if so how do you get them off? I ask this because I'm planning on getting some desert plants for my LG, but I don't want to hurt him= / I was also wondering the same thing with my tortoises just they will be eating the plants...

Best thing to do is wash and re-pot the plants. Wash the plants off in water. Be gentle with them when you do this. When you re-pot them wash all the dirt off the roots. That way you know you get all the perlite off the roots and anything else.

i rinse my plants and dirt. Let it drain an hour. Rinse again. I usually do this 5 or 6 times.

Then when I plant, i submerge it by a good inch below the dirt level, so its totally covered.
