I just joined because i am a first time turtle owner but not first time reptile owner and i have some questions i cant find a good answers for.
My 2 ornate wood turtles are inside in a custom enclosure but outside temps in california are warming up and i was wondering if i could move them to my 300 gallon stock tank pond? Outside temps are 80 for day and 50 for night. I would need to add a large dry dock for them but my main concern is the water depth. The pond is 2 feet deep and most sites say to only give them an inch deeper than their shell, do you think they would be ok if i put a massive ramp in the pond so its not a drop off?

Haven't kept them before, but from what I know of them they are terrible swimmers, so I would have to say no. However, that doesn't mean you couldn't look into building an outdoor corral for them.
