Seems I never think to do a personal photo update until someone else does.

Starting on January 1, 2010 I decided to do a photo series where I take a picture of myself every day for a year.

Timer? Or do you orchestrate someone else to take the shot, and talk them through the angle and lighting?

Nicely done. Your pictures are always interesting to see.
It would also have been interesting to know your mood, at the time of each picture, lol

I've got a wireless remote, best $25 piece of gear I've ever purchased.
The way the project works is that I have to set up and frame and take the shot for it to count.

    Nice jammies!
How does a wireless remote work and will they work with any camera?

I'm intrigued about the remote as well :)

My camera (Canon 7D) has an infrared sensor that is triggered by a little remote that I've got that is about the size of a "fun-sized" candy bar. I'm pretty sure it would work on Liz's camera but I'm not sure if any of the lower end models accept them.
I know you can get wired (like a 6 foot cord) remotes that attach via a headphone jack to some cameras.
Otherwise you're stuck pressing the timer button and running to frame the shot.
