Ok so I got some new baby fire belly newts that are the same size as my cresties, about to weeks ago. Anyway I was told to feed them live brine shrimp so I got them. I put some of them in a small dish for the newts, but it doesn't look like they are eating them. I also got the turtle/newt pellets, and they don't eat those at all. I'm thinking of trying blood worms next. Also they spend almost all there time hiding under a branch in the tank. I rarely see them in the water. Is there anyway I can get them to eat or are they sick? I'll try to get pics asap. Thanks for the help.

How long have you had them? If they are brand new, they are probably stressed out and could use a few more days to settle in.

About a week and half right now.

It is possible they are still adjusting. Have you tried Blackworms ? I use them for my hatchling turtles for the first few months. Blackworms are very small, easy for little critters to catch and eat.
