Hey my silly 13 yr old male whom I adopted 2 months ago eats his newspaper...I assume its because he is hungry, but he eats like a pig and I still catch him eating it...is it dangerous for him? He is still doing everything else normally so whats the case with this? Lyn

    Hmmmmm.

Not a fresh green, not a veggie, not a fruit, I woldn't let him eat it.

Besides, I'm pretty sure newspaper has no nutritional value anyway. ;)

yea, well I know Newpaper has no nutritional value, but if I remove it then he is pooping on bare bottom and like "GROSS" so I need something to soak up his massive turds....can we say turd on this site? Lyn

    Hello,
There isn't much harm that can come from it unless he is eating colored graphics. I don't believe you would want him to be ingesting the dyes. Unless I am mistaken, most of the black ink used on newspapers is soy or something similiar. I would still discourage it.

    Yea I discourage it...

I am usually home during the day, so when I see him, I open the door and ignore the stink eye and pull what I can out of his mouth without getting chewed on lol...He must be bored after 13 yrs of life but man he is a strong dude....as strong as my Rocky who is bigger and only going on 7 yrs old...lol....have fun...site is great so far....Lyn
