It's a good thing I had a plan B - there were NO white lipped pythons at this show (I spoke with a few breeders who had eggs incubating...)

So I got this beauty, for $175. Male, and from my initial inspection, appears to be in overall good health. Clean vent, nose and mouth, no mites, or evidence thereof. Looks to be of a healthy weight.

He was alert and inquisitive, and a little edgy, but I can't blame him after sitting in a glass box for 2 days with tons of people coming and going and poking and tapping.

Right now we have him set up in a temporary sterilite bin with paper towels for quarantine.

    Here he is!

I'm thinking about a year. Once he has had a chance to settle in, I can try to measure him.

Of course! I have some very rude things to say to my landlord if they want to try and collect the deposit money from me for their mistake (I seriously doubt they have a legal leg to stand on anyways) My birthday money is buying me herps dangit! (and a new bicycle!)

Beautiful! I love his head pattern. Nibbler is getting some new digs tomorrow, but if he doesn't stop growing like he is, it will only last him a few months. Hope you're ready for your little monster to be a big monster.

I'm excited for him to be a big monster. It will be nice to have a mid-sized constrictor, since all of mine are small.

Awesome pick-up Jen! A snake to be proud of. I am sorry you didn't get the white-lipped python, but then again, there's always next month. ;)

David, it's on the "inevitable" list. Up there with a few others I WILL have. I also have an eventual list for more far-fetched dreams (Burmese Pythons, Nile Monitors, etc.)

Keep the dream alive, Jen. :)

you know, someday when I have a rich husband and a big house, and spare rooms to dedicate to these scaly monsters, then, and only then, will I get them.
