I caught a pacific ring necked snake and I was wondering if anyone can give me info on it.

Ringnecks are very hard to keep in captivity.

I used o keep these as pets when I was younger.... all we used to do was use regular top soil as the substrate with some fallen leaves scattered around on the bottom with probably a log in there, I didn't use one as I was an amature at the time but a solid top, not screen and you do not need a uvb light as they are primarily nocturnal, but the day time temps should be around 70-75 degrees and night time around 65 degrees, and use a ceramic heat emitter to provide a hot spot for them to warm up under but use a hide in that area because they do not like to be out in the open and will not come out to bask...... and they primarily feed on things like earth worms, meal worms and smaller bugs.....
