New Kingsnake .....What Should I Know.

    Ok so i am gting a new 2 year ols kingsnake and i was wondering is there anything i should know like temp and humidity........stuff like that .

    What species of king its it? The temps would be the same(85-90 warm side 75 cool side) but the humidity may bee different between subspecies

    The lady said it was a california kingsnake .....and it was way underwieght so i want to give it some major wight

    Cali king humidity should stay under 30% but you should offer a humid hide to aid in shedding.

    What was she feeding it, and how often?

    It was fed once every 3 weeks and the dude fed it fuzzies so it isnt getting enuf food to grow so i am going to feed it once a week.

    2 year old kingsnake should be on adult mice. If you want to get some weight on him try rat pup's I put some of my corns on rat pups and they bulked up fast.

    Agreed, the under sized prey might be a reason for it being under weight. But as with any under weight animal, i'd see a vet, as there might be some other issues causing this.
