This Disappears When Logged In

New gecko not sure what it is, HELP please!

    Wow, yeah, he does look a lot like them, but I think his colour is a bit darker, and hes getting rounder :p

    Mediterranean geckos (Hemidactylus turcicus) are one of many species of house geckos (Genus: Hemidactylus). House geckos are pretty similar to wall geckos and are both known for hanging aroung houses. However, that ain't no mediterranean. They're really common in pet stores, and right here in TX (though their non-native). Here's a pic of one that I've caught here.

    Like many geckos, they tend to change lighter or darker depending on whether its dark or light out.

    Wow. That's a tough one. If you ask me though, I think he looks more like a G. grossmani, but its still hard to say. It has a good resemblance to other Gekko species too, besides the 2 you mentioned. If he's a male, count the pre-anal and femoral pores. G. grossmani would only have about 10 or 12, but G. monarchus will have closer to 30.
