you call yourself a hippie and you don't eat raw leaves? sheesh.
I didn't say I was one! but still...bleh.
I am with you Lacey,, those things are just WRONG! lol,, put them on my chili??? I would rather eat my hubbies boot on my chili than those, lol
I can guarantee that greens in the chili taste a whole lot better than a boot in the chili
I'd eat them if I had to, but really paying like $2.99 for 4 leaves of kale or 6 leaves of collard greens means I couldn't AFFORD to eat it.
Thats pretty expensive. I picked up a big head for 97 cents!!!
Like I said, they aren't common here....it sucks. I may try getting them delivered.
I have never seen collard greens sold as a "head"!
They don't grow that way.
I will say, LOTS of people here eat collard greens on a regular basis, and its warmer so they are easier to transport.
Bunch? Whatever you call that. I call anything a "head of lettuce"
Still attached to the stalk?
Bunch, I guess. That's how they have them here, too. They used to have them loose, so you could choose the best leaves, but not anymore. They probably weren't making as much money as they wanted.
Now you get more stalk than leaf. It's kind of annoying.
Want to know something funny?
My crickets poop is green now! HAHAHAHAHAH.
Ewww...glad I'm not planning collards for dinner! I'll have to get the picture of green poo out of my head first
well it is okay for me as that is Oscars favorite part of them,, so at the moment I get the best of both worlds,, no waste whatsoever
I give the tough stems to my mealworm colony!
