This is a shot of me playing one of my flutes.
I seldom have a photo of me taken that I like so I thought I would share.

Awesome pic merlin! That flute looks south american? Also... if that name tag does not say "Hello my name is 'MERLIN' " i think i would be pretty disappointing. Oh and one more assumption I would like to make... if I may: you strike me as a guy that listens to "The Pogues."

LOL! No I did not make the flute. I do not have access to a woodshop(I WISH!) However I do sell them. But I do make a version of them out of PVC for student flutes for people to learn on before they spend a bunch of money for a good wooden one. I attend RenFaires as a vendor.
I am not a actual druid, but close! I tend to have more Celtic and Native American leanings.

The flute is actually Native American in design. I have not heard of the Pogues. I will have to check them out. But I do listen to the "Rogues", a rocking bagpipe band!
Thala I actually have a hat very similar to that!

I ask because it has very similar markings to some Navajo artifacts I have.

Navaho are not South American. The Navaho are here in the US.
The flutemaker, a friend of mine, likes to put feathers on his flutes as sort of a trademark. The beadwork design on the wrap is my own.

Maybe he meant southern America as in the USA.

Thank you! I often refer to wooden flutes as my "drug of choice!"

I hope you are safe and well! I love native flutes. My favorite artist is R Carlos Nakai. I enjoy hearing the local Navajo and apache players as well. Our family is Choctaw Decent from scullyville out by you. My father plays some flute and they one day will be mine. cant wait to play myself. Take care in this wicked weather to you and all your loved ones legged or slithering. May

I know where Skullyville is. I love the eastern part of the state.
And why wait! Go ahead and get started! I know that traditionally they did not have women flute players but all that has changed.
