Ive been wanting a king or milk snake for sometime so I picked this little guy up today. I'm gonna give it a few days to settle into its new home before I feed it. That's the part I'm looking forward to

What a little beauty, I just love the king snakes, great pic too, I have two myself, an albino banded and a striped, they can be a bit nippy, and my albino musks me without fail everytime I get her out

I have a dumb question. What are you calling a 50/50? I am new to the snake scene lol.
This one has already musked me lol. Hopefully it will calm down as it gets older.
Do any of you all keep Milksnakes? I wouldn't mind having one.

Brian a 50/50 is a common name referring to the black and white bands. 1/2 black and 1/2 white. Often there also is supposed to be 50 of each color.
However I have never counted them! :D

Yep thats a kingsnake for you!

Thanks :) I hadn't had a snake in years until a month ago. Now I have 4
I think they are a little easier to take care of than many of the lizards out there. I have kept a few lizards before.
What is everyone's opinion on this? I am curious now.

Snakes are definately easier to care for than lizards. Lizards need daily feedings and clean up and generally need a lot more space (per body size)than a snake.
With snakes you toss em a rodent once a week and they are happy!
