Hey so My roommate moved her fish into a 29 gal and gave me her 20 gal with aquarium lid. I;m going to move the anoles to it onces it gets dried. I soaked it overnight with a bleach water solution, scrub it later tonight and let it dry for 24-48 hrs so my question is how should i go about fitting the aquarium lid with a bulb for the anoles?

also where should i get one?

Sadly I can't. I dont have any materials or equipment. I was thinking I could just switch the bulb from the aquarium one to a reptile one and take off the glass that is covering the buld and put some mesh or screen over it to protect the lizards

I would say that it would work, as long as the wattage is the same!

if you can fit the UVB tube into the aquarium top taht would be great, like you said, just take out the glass. Then for heat, I would cut out some of the top and put wire over it.

I know you said you don't really have tools, but you could have home depot cut you a wood the right size (I think it will run you $1). Not sure if they would cut the hold for the heat though.
