I am reading up on Carpet pythons and ran across this article that says Jungles don't like to eat rats... and that babies can be hard to feed, possibly fasting for weeks before eating... have any of you that have a Jungle, (or an IJ for that matter) ran into this problem?
If your interested, this is the article I am referring to:

I havn't kept a jungle or Jaya carpet, but they do have a reputation for being hard to switch to rats. They typically have no issues with mice as far as I know, but switching to rats has been known to be challenging.

That is what I am finding... and I find that interesting... I have never fed a snake more than a single prey item at a time, opting to get a good 'filling' size. I guess it wouldn't be hard to feed more than one at a time, given that the snake realizes what it just ate isn't enough and is willing to continue eating.
I love learning about all kinds of snakes, especially pretty ones! :)

Just get them on rats ASAP. They can be a bit stubborn.

I was cruising breeder's sites and saw one that was proud that his carpets were "rat eaters". They were babies too, so it can be done! ;)
