I merged your two threads and put the whole thing in General Discussion. It was getting far too complicated and its better to have the whole thing contained in one place.

Any luck Chunka? How is Buddy? Has the bloating gone down yet...

Thank you for combining the threads.

I just soaked and a good size amount of fecal matter came out. Initially white then what looks like the remnant of salad. I was able to recognize some of the pieces. Lots of greens. Not as bloated..

Buddy went to cool side to chill out sleep mid day (slightly un normal) Went into water dish...I don't normaly observe this but I am not usually this observant at the enclosure 24/7 as I have been today literally jotting down every deep breath, puff, sigh you name it I've jotted it down.

I recently gave a bath and got a good size amount of fecal matter out. Initially white then the remnant of salad came out. Perhaps yesterday's diarrhea combination of too many of 1 item... ??Squash...mangoes...tomatoes? Mealworms were only partially digested. is sitting next to me on the arm of the couch drying off alert w/ Dandielion greens in front of her but there is to much stimuli for her to eat. I think (Please correct me) I will cut back on the tomatoes and mangoes and see if that makes a difference. She was getting a very small amount but maybe it was still to much or it was just stress/and the amount that did it..

Oz is still missing and I've set up heat lamps all over house/yard w/ food/water to help lure...I have 2 active kids and in a very active neighborhood on 3/4 of an acre...finding a 6 month old baby is seemingly impossible in a packed house of 4 w/ 3500sqft inside to inspect I have a back yard with so much brush...I've spent hours on the roof searching, in trees the house searching I'm so heart broken I don't know what happened, or how. :( We also have so much wildlife that I don't know if I will know.

It's not good that Buddy isn't digesting her food properly. It sounds like she doesn't have enough heat to process her food, though you did say your basking was 100, right? Try bumping it up to 105. Is there any way to get her to a vet?

    Ditto on above!
Also Mangos shouldn't be fed, they are very high in Vitamin A, and tomatoes rarely, they are high in oxalates acidic!
    Stick to the staple greens

    collard greens
    turnip greens
    mustard greens
    dandelion greens
Squash, grated (butternut, butter cup, acorn, Hubbard, orange flesh types)

I want to say 75% is unrecognizable. Thank you for letting me know and I will definitely make that adjustment

I was grating/shredding all veggies so it was a small amount of any into the greens then tossing about I'll scratch Mangoes and Tomatoes!

I do wish you the best of luck in finding the escape artist and just want to suggest removing the substrate from the Iguana's enclosure. It is an impaction hazard for them.

I still can't locate Oz it is a complete needle in a haystack. We've put lights, food in all areas... I've even put up cameras to see if there is any action by's cool here today and nights are very chilly. I'm fearing worst for Oz.

Buddy looks good, light color, less active today, just basking not restless trying to get out as she was in previous days last few weeks. It got to the point where if I opened the front door she would come up to me and is not. So right now I'm documenting non-stop and tomorrow I'm interviewing 1 of 3 Exotic specialist. The Vet I worked for in Long Island is now in Staten Island its a 5 hour drive for me but I trust him completely his associate is an exotic specialist so after interviewing these, and e-mailing Tufts I can bring Buddy to him and have her looked at there.

I haven't slept, I feel like its starting to look dismal for Oz. While I don't see any way of getting out of the 3 season room we've scoured every corner..leaving outdoors, main house or garage. Yesterday was gorgeous out. I spent hours on the roof looking into surrounding trees/brush with Binoculars. We have so many hawks, squirrels, birds, and other wildlife that while Oz is fast and can hide I fear outdoors is a death sentence... I'm just so upset on so many counts right now. Meanwhile, construction for the "Ultimate Iguana Habitat" continues and completing it this week.

Brandon, thank you for the suggestion. I originally purchased that substrate because I was worried about humidity levels. It's been removed and we have Slate Tile Floor in there now. In the new home I believe my boyfriend, Craig, is doing a Waterproof vinyl (But with just flooring over that or newspapers) no other material.

Continued thoughts for Buddy and the S&R for Oz are all appreciated...I literally haven't slept since this happened on Friday and while if any of you want to think different of me that's your choice but each of you have been respectful, concerned, and kind. I really appreciate that. Anyone who comes into our home we treat as a member as our family right down to the Beta that sits with us at dinner. (My 6yr olds idea) I have so much extensive background with animals, and growing with reptiles..this experience really hurts.

    Not for the better.

It turns out it is ABSOLUTELY PLAUSIBLE and POSSIBLE for a 18" Bearded Dragon to Eat w/o ANY bloodshed mess, scale, toe, ANYTHING left behind....

Buddy just defecated and in it was pieces of Oz..... I sifted through and found SKin, Foot, part of a tail.....

    I am SPEECHLESS and heartbroken.
I just can't believe everything that we know about physics and I can't fathom still how this has been possible...
I have someone I'm contacting now who wanted to see a photo of the fecal matter...and I'm trying to get buddy hydrated now via bath and feeding.... Not once did Buddy lose use of legs, twitch, get stressed.... I am overwhelmed with feelings and not good ones, I'm glad we have answers but not with outcome.

I feel like I've let everyone down and am just really beating myself up about this.

To anyone that wants to question Buddy's nutrition thus far, she has been getting Collards, Dandelions, some Kale, Veggies (Squash) no more tomatoes, some bell peppers, occasional shredded carrots, but mostly greens. Crickets dusted, mealworms too.

Below is graphic and not intended to offend, disgust anyone please use judgement when scrolling down.

Below is a photo of what I found. I am so sorry that he has passed.
