In my opinion when keeping any reptile you need to do your research. I still look up care sheets for my retf and my rhinoceros iguana. I'm still reading about rainbows and kings as well. Another useful tip if you want a happy reptile, if you have a world weather app on your phone or computer try looking up the weather conditions from the animals natural habitat and do your best to recreate it. My male that I saved yesterday supposedly hadn't eaten in almost 3 weeks and never seemed interested in eating at least that was what the previous owner said. I got home set him up in the proper environment and his attitude went from mopey and miserable to Christopher Columbus of his new cage. He readily ate a large hopper (pre killed) using tongs in his enclosure. If the environment is correct then so will the snakes behaviour.
