So, I was in a family diner 3 days ago and my uncle came in looking for a broom, he wanted to kill a snake that had gotten into his house. I (owning a kenyan sandboa, a crested gecko and a leopard gecko) told him he shouldnt do it. He then told me to take it instead, so I did, I have no clue as to how the snake got into the city but i am sure that she will be killed in no time If I release her. I have her in a 20 gall. Thing is... I have no clue what kind of snake it is. Im thinking garter snake, since I doubt she is able to eat any rodents. She was found in a grassy warm envoirement, Her tongue is black. Oh im also mexican  I lnow this forum is mainly for the us but there are no active mexican forums and I really need to know, so yeah the snake was found in mexico.

Although most here are in the US but we are a world wide forum...

    So welcome!

Looks like a Dekays snake. It feeds on earthworms slugs and such.
