I just came into posession of two Hogg Island Boas, one five and a half foot female, and a four and a half foot male. The enclosures I acquired in addition to them are 3' by 2', stackable, all plastic with plexiglass doors at along the length of one of the sides. It also came with one lamp, but no bulbs.

My question is, what would you guys recommend for heating? I don't have a ton of experience with stacked enclosures and while I absolutely love working with snakes, I know there are better equipment guys than me -- I am not very handy or DIY-ish, so please tell me how I can heat these guys properely

I use cheap $10 Heatpads from the Dollar General, just make sure they are the ones that stay one. I have used them for years, and have never had one over-heat or cause issues

I do this as well. I have one under the substrate, and one across the back wall of my BP 55g aquarium. I have used these for about 15 years, No problems whatsoever.
