BBC News - Australia: Snake eats crocodile after battle
awesome story and video capture!
Wish they would post the video if anyone took some
I know..... are boas or pythons native in Australia or are they invasive?
This particular snake looks like a water python, Liasis fuscus, and they are native to Australia. The Woma Python is also a native, as for boas, I can't be sure. There are probably many more native constrictors, but I'm no expert.
either am I that's why I asked
There are quite a number of native Aussie pythons. Many of them quite spectacular!
I am not aware of any native boa species,...
That snake was identified as an Aussie Native Olive Python and the croc was a Johnson's Crocodile.

I do not think there are native boas in Australia, though they are on almost all of the surrounding islands and land masses.
