I was given an Exo Terra Fogger from a friend recently and was wondering if it was safe? I just read somewhere that they cause severe ultrasonic burn and was wondering if it was true?
I know my friend payed a lot for this fogger (she was going to get tree frogs of some sort and decided not to), but if it's dangerous I'll get rid of it immediately.

I hear they have a tendency to burn up and create unsafe conditions, I wouldn't run it in one of my cages.

It depends, is it the kind that sits in the water in the tank, or the new model, that sits outside the tank and sends the fog in through a tube?

It's the kind of fogger that sits in water.

The in water one IS a shock hazard. Toss it.

Not only that, I had one and you have to have the PERFECT amount of water in there for it to work, and it dissapates the water so fast you'll have to keep filling it. Not worth it.
