I could not recommend them more! They are even more low matinence then snakes. ;) I got my first one when I was 13-fell in love then had them ever since!

OK I can sleep with 26 snakes in my bedroom, but I don't think I could sleep with that in my house lol!!! I think i'll convince him to go look at the reptile show in the spring. All I see up here are the pink toes(??) I havent paid much attention! So easy care? Easy enough for a responsible 9 yr old? He feeds, waters his hamster and feeds his fish.

I am looking into getting a tarantula as well. That black one is stunning to say the least!

Pink toes are very active and jumpy spiders. They are smaller then Rosie's normally but just fast. Opposed to a fat slow terrestrial spider like a rosie. But yes easy care. Aboreal tank. Substrate some branches and leaves and the pink toe will have the whole tank full of web in no time!

I think i would have a lot more different pets if I could. The battle for snakes in the house is all uphill so I concentrate all my effort on that alone :) I do have a fascination with spiders too, they're so cool to watch in their little busy lives
