These are my two 4lx2dx2h cages made from 1/2 in plywood. They're for my Bearded Dragon and carpet python.
All that's left is for me to stain them and buy tracks and glass.
Ill be sure to post more pics when I'm done.

You will also need to seal them, not just stain them.

Of course. That's the plan I just didn't think to type it.
    Also, are vents completely necessary?

No. There will be enough air exchange around the sliding doors as well as by opening the cage.

    Looks good.
You might want to make a stand or base cabinet for it next project.
Handy for storage and brings it up off the ground some.

Ill probably do that but until then I have a 75 gallon tank that they are going on top of.

Update on the cages. I just finished staining and sealing the outsides and the insides need a few more coats.

That mess you see on one of the cages. That was my Next Level Stain Testing Center AKA the back and the bottom.

Thanks. It's awesome hearing that since this is my first build of anything, ever.

It's been awhile since the last update. It took forever for the tracks to get in because of some shipping mishaps but they're glued on and the cages are at the glass company for the custom fit glass.
I will post more pics when I get the cages back.
