One of my cousins got bitten on the hand by a scolopendra, it swelled to twice the size, and she was in agony for a couple of days, so no thank you, I`ve seen MORE than enough of these things in the wild, thanks!
P.S. I can`t remember the species, but they found a Monitor with a stomach full of these centipedes!
i've only been stung by a asian forest scorpions so far a few times, and it really isn't much worse then a bee sting.... gives you a mild swelling and tolerable pain for couple of hours.... fortunately i never gave the centipede a chance to get me....
oh yeah, there is a species of snakes that prey exclusively on centipedes...
