This Disappears When Logged In

  1. Went to clean my ball's water dish and found a bunch of tiny white bugs jumping around in her water dish.. what are these? I don't have any photos, does any one know? She is on cypress mulch. Worried.

    Probably not an issue, could just be springtails or something. Quick way to check the snake would be to take a paper towel and wipe the snake down once then check the paper. Mites will be easy to see as they are like little black dots. If your not seeing any on the snake you should be fine.

    I agree. Mites are usually around the face and mouth area so check that out.
    Springtail explosion can be a nuisance if you don't want them. Check the damp areas of the enclosure. They congregate there and can be easily removed.
    To get rid of them entirely you would need to empty the enclosure and wipe it down.
