Breeding Fat Tailed Geckos

Discussion in 'African Fat-tailed Geckos' started by immapizzabagel, Sep 10, 2013.

  1. I have owned reptiles for many years (beardies, leos, and cresteds) and have also worked with them (rhinoceros iguanas, giant geckos, and more). I have visited several reptile expos and have been lucky enough to meet some excellent breeders, as well. I was hoping to do more in the field and have been interested in breeding and researched it the past few years, but have not pursued it.

I don't know a ton about African Fat Tails, but I want to learn more about them. How are they as far as handling? Does anyone have experience breeding them? If so, is it similar to the husbandry of leos (which I know a lot about)? How would you compare them to a leo personality wise?

Fat Tails are just one of the lizards I'm looking into. I'm also considering cresteds, uromastyx, and mountain horned dragons.

    Thanks ahead of time!
