Can I feed my roughnecks fire belly toads ..?
Hi, toads usually have toxic skin secretions so I wouldn`t advise feeding them, more especially as the White throat will probably not have a resistance to the toxins in this (American?) species.
I agree. He probably wouldn't eat them anyway. They are known to be a foul tasting meal for any that try to eat them.
Not sure if it is truly a toxin. But it's not worth the risk.
I know they cannot be kept with other frogs or turtles due to their toxins, so best answer is no
Ok thanks every one
Why would you want to? Fire bellied toads secrete a toxin from their skin that is even harmful to themselves if allowed to build up in the water.
Fire bellied toads are from Asia.
Thanks Merlin.... Same principal applies then (no resistance)!
