    On the care sheet it says they do not require UV lighting, however the vet told me yesterday they did. Can anyone please let me know if they do or do not.

    The vet is wrong. Although it won't hurt them, it is not a necessity.
    As a general rule snakes do not require uv light.

    "Avoid using cedar as a substrate. It has been reported to be toxic to snakes in captivity. Pine is currently suspected as having the same problems as cedar and caution should be used when selecting substrates"

    Looks like you may have missed the next line...

    Hi, I just inherited a ball python from my old roommate and am looking for a guide to make sure his environment is okay, but the link to the care sheet leads me to a broken page!
