was out and about and had to get dog food. i went to tractor supply and they had live baby chickens for $1.99 each. would this be a suitable food for my ball python?

I feed mine and must of my other Snakes Chicks of varying size since they are cheaper and easier to get than F/T rats here. If he will eat them, they are fine, but it can be a pain to get Balls on them in some cases.

Sure, but if the ball is hooked on rats/mice, it may be a hard switch, and if the ball is hooked on chicks, it might be a hard switch back...

They will cause smellier and runnier poop from what I've been told. Other than that I can't tell you about the nutritional value compared to rats and mice. I wouldn't cut out rodents entirely but as a rotational item I can't see any harm in it.

i was looking to actually cut rats out of the menu. the cost per rat is to much. i guess i will start breeding them also.
