Anole Eating Sphagnum Moss

    I found my Anole eating moss, which is at the bottom of the tank. Maybe he tried to get A cricket down there?) 15156706399651674139233.jpg

    Her throat seems to be very full. I think she grabbed a cricket and the moss came with it.

    I don't know if I made the right decision, I pulled the moss out slowly. It came out all good, and she was fine after. Was that the right thing to do?

    Should be fine. Sometimes, particularly if the moss is dry and has been shredded into many small strands, its easy for animals to accidentally get some in their mouths. I've never had an issue with it but if you notice that this starts happening frequently then you might want to remove or cover the moss

    Yes that's typically the thing to do if they don't spit it out within a reasonable time.

    Yeah, she was trying to swallow it, not spot it out. Weird.
