I've own a few reptiles, but I'd like to broaden my horizon with a tarantula.
Whats something good to start off with?

I believe the Mexican Red Knee is a good first tarantula.

Pink toes are pretty good too also a rose hair if you don't want to handle it. Its not that they can't be handled its just they have a defense mechanism where they will rattle their "bum" with their hind legs and fling tiny hairs into the air. And it itches like ****, also not good if it gets in your eyes or throat. But that's only if it feels threatened so just handle em slowly and gently and you should be good :)

Are you planning on a community tank and a new tarantula? I'd choose the t! They are fascinating and fun to feed.
