    Hey Guys!

I want to build a tank for my Sudan Plated Lizard but I have never made a cage. I do have some questions.

    1. I do not want to use any glass. It is expensive on my part and it is a little too much. What else could be used? Chicken wire or something?

    2. What wood is best?

    Any help is fine!

    How big is this project?
To be honest,...anything you saved in cost in building by cutting costs and trying to use screen, will be more than used up in the costs and headache of trying to control the temperatures and humidity.
For wood I prefer 3/4 inch cabinet grade plywood. Its a bit higher but it is already finished and will save you hours of sanding.

I'm not well-versed on that lizard. But a brief search told me 50-75% humidity.
With that in mind you do not want to use screen.

Also, search around for different glass prices. If you use the plywood for everything except the front, then you won't need a whole lot of it.
