I didn't post the link because I didn't know if I was allowed but here is a quote from southflorida.com, "State wildlife officials say the capture of a 17-foot Burmese python on private property in Okeechobee County shows why a program to hunt them in the Everglades is necessary." Not to start the debate on what to do about the pythons in Florida, but it's kind of scary what's running around down here. The TV report was a little more interesting. The snake was discovered by two boys (I think around 11 years old or so) playing around outside. And all this time I just fuss at my son about keeping an eye out for the gators in the canal when he's fishing! My bad!
